is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in technical communication and music. Matthew has taken several courses in both technical writing/editing and rhetorical writing and wishes to use skills from these courses to help scientists, engineers, and other STEM professionals create functional and understandable publications. Matthew volunteered as an assistant editor for the International Journal of Nuclear Security where he edited submissions from collegial students and professionals from the nuclear industry. Many of these submissions were from people who do not speak or write in English as their primary language, so Matthew enjoyed working with these authors to create publications in American English.
